In Australia, the most popular Christian channels are received mainly on the Optus D2 satellite.
The majority of these channels run unencrypted or FTA (Free to air).
In terms of a satellite dish, the best suited for most houses is the Ku offset satellite dish, (85cm is the most common size) and a 10700 lnb. The set up for Christian TV is very similar to VAST TV & Foxtel but the transmissions come from a different satellite which is located slightly to the west of Optus C1/D3.
To access the Christian channels, you will need a Free to air (FTA) satellite decoder. Many transmissions are changing to Mpeg-4, so we recommend purchasing a Mpeg2-Mpeg4 ready satellite decoders.
